Health Information Management Supervisor:
The Health Information Services Supervisor oversees and reviews processes of all the department clerical functions: assembly, analysis, ADT, birth certificates, filing, chart requests,  scanning, indexing and purging.  Monitors productivity and quality for all clerical employees while providing training and education for new and existing employees.  Effectively interacts with clients, health team members, and employees while maintaining established professional standards. Demonstrates the knowledge and assessment skills necessary to communicate, educate, and provide a therapeutic and safe environment for specific age groups served.  Must be able to respect diversity of each individuals values, culture, spiritual beliefs, and other socio-economic issues in addressing the needs of patients, visitors, and co-workers. Participates in department and hospital performance improvement activities.




High school graduate or equivalent, with some college courses preferred

Knowledge of Medical Terminology required. 

1-3 years previous supervisory experience required. 

Knowledge of DNV and state regulations for acute care facilities.

Ability to read, understand and communicate effectively in English.  Additional languages helpful.
Must have experience with computer systems and various software applications and type a minimum of 55 WPM.
Excellent communication skills required.
